I’m a true believer in colonic therapy. If you never had one before you may feel some what uncomfortable with the thought. If you give it a chance you’ll notice how much more energy you have and how much healthier you feel.
The first colonic is different for everyone. For me I was sick for the day, it took the second or third one to really feel my best. I did two treatments a week until I reached six of them. After that it was once a month, with a disciplined diet.
Your colon is about 5 feet long so it takes time to remove impactions that have been there for awhile. Once your colon is clean you can really tell what foods you’re allergic to and how your body responds to them.
Your skin is the largest organ of the body and it also helps to release toxins like your colon, liver, kidneys, and lungs. If you have unhealthy skin it’s usually a sign of an unhealthy colon. Skin peels and treatments work best in combination with colon therapy. Vitamin A plays an important role in skin health and when the colon is adequately cleansed, vitamin A can be more effectively absorbed through the intestinal tract.
Many health authorities feel that disease begins in the colon and I agree, to be in optimum health the colon must be functioning normally. Colonic therapy clears parasites, detoxifies the body from drugs and alcohol, helps with arthritic pain, relieves digestion discomfort, constipation bloating and helps keep you spiritually fit.
The usual colonic treatment lasts 45-60 minutes. A small speculum is inserted into the rectum. This speculum is then attached to a plastic hose which connects to the colonic machine. The colonic therapist then adjusts the volume and temperature of the water coming out of the machine which runs through a plastic hose into the patient’s rectum and through the entire colon. The patient is temporarily filled with a certain volume of water to individual tolerance. This will induce peristaltic contractions in the colon, and the patient will begin to expel fecal matter through the colonic hose which leads back to the colonic machine and through a clear plastic viewing tube. When undergoing a session, here are somethings you should keep in mind:
- You should not eat or drink at least two hours prior to therapy
- You should avoid drinking sodas, eating fatty foods, dairy products and caffeine
- Replace electrolytes, drink plenty of water and herbal teas.
- Add additional fiber to your diet (Maxi Fiber by Bio Design is my favorite)
- Replace bacteria by eating plain yogurt and supplement with a probiotic
Stay positive and the best of health & happiness always.
